對於環島單車 2004 延遲出發一事，本會就此作出交代。大會曾就活動向警民關係組提出申請，於七月三十日才收到有關安排的通告，大會對未能及時準備足?的反光衣而致使活動延遲舉行致歉。

雖然活動延遲，但大會也相應地延遲於淺水灣收車的時間，由原定為四時二十分改為五時。大會希望參加者明白若再延遲收車時間，往薄扶林途中會因車輛過多而增加發生危險的機會。

活動紀念品之一的手指套因為未能及時運至香港的原因，大會將會和活動證書一並寄發。

如活動的有關安排為你帶來不便，大會因此致歉，同時大會希望能聽到更多參加者的意見。

Announcement

This announcement is our clarification upon the delay during the cycling event. We applied to be an eligible activity through Police Community Relations Office in June 2004, and received its confirmation letter on 30 th July, the schedule was too tight that we can't provide the safety vest on time.

Though the activity was delayed, we accordingly postponed the time limit of termination at the Repulse Bay checkpoint from 4:20am to 5:00 am . We hope the participants can understand that it would be much more dangerous if they were still allowed to leave Repulse Bay after 5:00am .

Due to the shipping problem, the finger wears can't be distributed on time, we would like to mail it to the participants together with a certificate later.

We would like to apologize for all inconvenience caused and looking forward to having more constructive comments on bringing forth the best.
