「千人野外大露營」
本來是香港自助旅行者協會和救世軍和辦的活動,
救世軍以在活動安排上未能與來自香港自助旅行者協的籌委會成員達成共識為理由，於2003年10月10日終止與香港自助旅行者協會合辦「千人野外大露營」活動，並辭去「千人野外大露營」籌備委員會職務,籌委會的誠意挽留無效.
考慮到要向多方面的機構團體例如贊助單位, 協辦單位和已經招募的工作人員交代, 明知工作量會更大工作會更辛苦,
大會仍然決定活動會繼續進行. 2003年10月10日,
籌委會全體成員和47位的大會義務工作人員同意把籌得善款捐給國際奧比斯眼科飛機醫院, 他們的工作也同樣很有意義. 受惠機構的變換情非得已,
如有造成不便或混亂, 敬請原諒.
千人野外大露營籌備委員會 2003年10月16日
活動主題：
「千人野外大露營」是香港自助旅行者協會主辦的大型週年慈善籌款活動，目的是為國際奧比斯眼科飛機醫院在世界各地救盲抗盲服務籌款。大露營的主題是「走進繽紛世界」——暫時遠離單調「石屎森林」，走進大自然中的繽紛世界。藍色的天空，白色的雲朵，綠色的樹木，五顏六色的花朵和昆蟲，還有那淡藍色的輕輕的風……在這個彩色世界裏歡笑奔跑，載歌載舞，煮食烹飪，晚上以佈滿星斗的夜空為被子，以嫩嫩的青草為睡床，在大自然的呼吸聲中安然進睡……一覺醒來，徒步上山，迎接燦爛的陽光。
國際奧比斯眼科飛機醫院的救盲抗盲服務也讓很多生活在黑暗世界中的人重見光明，走向充滿色彩的世界。「聚集一千人的力量，幫助千千萬萬需要幫助的人」正是「千人野外大露營」的理念。

"Wild Camp 1000" is a large scale
fundraising activity organized by Hong Kong Backpackers' Association
. The aim of this camp is to raise funds for ORBIS' worldwide sight-saving
missions. The theme of the function this year is "OUTREACH
FOR VISION"------ walking into the colourful land of nature,
grasping the moment away from the monotonous concrete jungle. Just
imagine the blue sky, white clouds, green woods, flowers and insects
of various colours, and a soothing breeze. Within this colourful
world, you can laugh heartily, run freely, sing and dance joyfully,
and cook merrily. At night the star-studded sky covers our bodies
with soft green grass as the mattress. You will sleep away the night
with the breathing sound of nature. Greeting you the next day is
the bright sun and an exciting hike.
ORBIS' sight-saving
services have helped numerous blind people regain sight and lead
a life with colours. The notion of the WILD CAMP 1000 is "Uniting
one thousand people𠏋 strength, assisting thousands of people in
need ".
This year, let us go together into this colourful
world!

日期：15-11-2003 至16-11-2003 (兩日一夜)
地點：西貢海下灣仔
集合時間:大會將於11月15日上午在鑽石山提供免費交通至海下
營地最後召集時間:下午四時
活動：營火晚會、星光夜行、背包行旅
最低籌款額：每人港幣280元(大會設有個人籌款冠、亞、季軍)
年齡：18歲或以上
截止報名 : 11月5日
備註：參加者需自備露營用品及食物。

Departing time: Free Transportation from
Diamond Hill to Hoi Ha will be provided by the organizer in the
morning.
Latest call time at campsite: 4:00pm
Activities : Camp fire, night walker, backpack
trekking.
Minimum donation : HK $280.00 per
individual. (The highest, 2nd highest and 3rd highest individual
fundraiser will be awarded)
Age : 18 or over
Deadline for Application : 05-11-03
Remarks : All the equipments should be prepared
by the participants.
